Phoua Yang - Owner/Administrator
Phoua enjoys making a positive difference in her own life and the lives of others. Phoua has her Associates's degree as a Medical Assistant with experience working in medical offices and was quickly promoted into office management. Phoua excelled in the business department and gained knowledge in the healthcare field of billing and receivables. Phoua is the Founder and CEO of SP Association for Advancement Now, Inc., and active in the Florida Hmong Community, Inc., and currently serves as the Public Relations board. Her roles in this non-profit organization are to bridge the gaps and connecting the missing dots in the communities. She leads and serves as a resource center to improve the community health and well-being by creating and providing guidance, education, sharing, career path, socially, economically, in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. Phoua gained additional experience, skills, and tools by becoming a Certified Health Coach through Dr. Sears Wellsness Institute. Through her experience and resources, Phoua makes an impact on the lives of others by bridging the gaps in the communities. Phoua put her compassion and dedication in making a difference in another person's life along with her business skills to use in the start-up of her home care agency and continues to make impressive gains. Home Care For U, Inc. started as a 2-person team and has grown into an organization of over 30.
Shawn Yang - VP and Chief Financial Officer
Shawn has his Bachelor in Business Administration and over ten (10) years of experience in computer technology. Shawn has extensive experience in project management, sales, marketing, and customer service. He currently functions in several roles within the Agency including the Chief Financial Officer, Safety Officer, and the Manager of the Information Systems. Shawn currently serves as the Executive Director for SP Association for Advancement Now, Inc., a non-profit organization. Shawn promotes and creates at least 350-400 job opportunities per week for the communities. Shawn was the President of Florida Hmong Community, Inc. from 2005 to 2009, and he had made an economic impact on the City of Pinellas Park by bringing visitors from all over the US to join the Hmong new year. Shawn also served as a board member at SPIFFS (St. Petersburg International Folks Fair Society) and chairman of the Asian Fest committee as a resource center to promote and support the welfare of the international communities of Florida socially, economically, and culturally. Shawn and his wife Phoua are very involved in their community and dedicated to giving back to those in need.
Mai Xiong, BSN,RN - Director of Nursing
Mai graduated from West Chester University, West Chester, PA in 2005 with a BSN,RN. I started my nursing career in critical care right out of nursing school. Working in an ICU setting in an acute care environment has been very rewarding and has prepared me for all the challenges that I have faced in my nursing career. I have been a staff nurse, been in a preceptorship role, charge nurse and hold a supervisory role in the hospital setting. As a nurse, I love seeing my patients getting well and leaving the ICU. I enjoy the daily interactions of the multiple disciplinary teams' role in providing and delivering safe, compassionate care to patients.
Susan Bosman, BHA, PTA – Alt. Administrator
Susan graduated with an Associates in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor in Health Care administration. Susan has over 30 years of experience as an owner, therapist and director of rehabilitation in numerous healthcare settings. Susan has a strong passion in the rehabilitation industry for the regulatory environment as well as quality and care outcomes. In addition, she has been a catalyst for several Skilled Nursing Facilities, Rehab Agencies, Home Health Agencies and Hospitals in securing their accreditation.
Alicen Tutsch, PTA - Director of Rehab
Alicen is a United States Army Veteran with 6 years in the service under her belt. She lives by the Army Core Values which are loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage. Alicen brings those standards and the company standards into her work daily. Alicen graduated from South University with an Associates of Physical Therapy in 2011. Alicen has since been working in the therapy world as a staff therapist, PRN therapist and Director of Rehabilitation mostly in skilled nursing facilities since then. Alicen has brought, to Home Care for U, her attention to detail, compassion, hard work and dedication to help us grow and thrive.
Sophie Gordon, RN - Clinical Manager
Sophie is a registered nurse with strong leadership skills and track record or proven results. She has many years of broad in-depth experience in management and supervision, restructuring, program development, team building, clinical oversight and operations of numerous departments and physician practices. Sophie brings 17 years of acute care, 4 years of Hospice/Palliative Care, 4 years of Integrative Medicine and 3 years of Home Care experience to our organization. HCFU patients will benefit from her diversified healthcare experience. In addition, this team member ensures compassionate, competent nursing care delivered to meet each patient individualized needs and goals.
